Also he's speaking directly to Laura so this chaper is told in second person. I'm not sure if he goes back to this POV again later on cause so far it's just the prologue.
Each ex taught him something new and formative and this chapter does an excellent job of not only introducing Rob as the main character and his lens on how he inteprets life and rationalizes his emotons and behaviors, but also gives us a brief rundown of his relationship history, his ghosts/background story, and all of his current flaws and issues.
